I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Earle. He was a kind and caring man, and his upbeat attitude during his courageous battle against cancer was an inspiration to his many friends. We shared a mutual love for the writings of Mark Twain, and I enjoyed visiting with him about our favorite subject at Board meetings and by email after he retired. He will be greatly missed. 73, Cliff K0CA -----Original Message----- From: arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org [mailto:arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org] On Behalf Of Kay Craigie Sent: Friday, February 24, 2012 4:38 PM To: 'arrl-odv' Subject: [arrl-odv:20600] VE6NM - SK I am sad to have to inform you that Earle Smith VE6NM, past president of the Radio Amateurs of Canada, became a Silent Key this morning, surrounded by his family. Earle had cancer for some time, but his unencouraging prognosis never diminished his brave and cheerful attitude. I will miss him. 73 - Kay N3KN _______________________________________________ arrl-odv mailing list arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org http://reflector.arrl.org/mailman/listinfo/arrl-odv
