The SM I talked to said he felt that too many messages had already been sent on the topic, and that members would feel that he was spamming them.

I finally convinced him that it would be OK to send just one more message with a "pre-apology" that they received a few different messages, but that this was a matter of great urgency and high importance. 

I don't know if other SMs have the same feeling, but perhaps a direct appeal to them from K5UR would improve participation.

I'm surprised to see so few Section Managers have done it - just twenty of them, and seven are from New England.  I will say it took a bit of pushing to get all of them in New England on board.

There's still (little) time to get the word out from the rest of them.

Do we need a different approach to involve Section Managers?
