General Counsel Imlay’s most recent report to the Board made passing mention of the FCC Technology Advisory Committee’s release, DA-16-676 concerning a proposed noise floor study.  He also mentioned that he and EC plan to file comments within the next few weeks.

In searching the ARRL Web site, I can find no mention of the release.  Given the great number of members concerned about rising background noise levels and the vast pool of technical capability among our membership, has there been any consideration of a) notifying the members of this development, and b) soliciting the members for input that might be useful in crafting the League’s comments?
