Hi,

Here is a message that I am passing along from Diane Petrilli.  Steve Ewald is sending it to the SM List also.

See all of you in a few days.  Bring your warm clothing, it’s supposed to be chilly here in CT!

73,

Harold

Dear Directors and Section Managers,

Just wanted to remind you that the senior discount has been eliminated.  Despite continuous increases in costs (inflation, expenses, and cost of living), ARRL has worked hard to keep membership dues stable and has not had a dues increase since 2001. In January 2008, the ARRL Board of Directors made a decision to eliminate the $3 senior membership dues discount, effective January 1, 2009.  While $3 is a small amount, less than a penny a day, the change will allow ARRL to continue to hold the line against a more general dues increase. ARRL membership is $39 per year in the US, and includes monthly delivery of ARRL’s popular membership journal, QST magazine. A special rate for family members and youth may apply. Contact ARRL for details.

Accordingly, the membership applications on the Section and Division pages on www.arrl.org have been updated to reflect this change.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
