An email about 2008 ARRL On-Line Auction just hit my e-mailbox. There is a reference to two Golden Gavel Sponsors. The text refers to Golden Gavel Sponsorship as the highest level of participation. I dont want to rehash the who is the real sponsor of ARRL activities/is sponsorship a good idea discussion. Moreover the fact that staff has secured donations from ICOM and R-4 systems apparently in return for banner advertising their generosity will likely enhance the Auction. My question is what constitutes Golden Gavel Sponsorship? In reviewing my emails, including those from the A&F reflector, my notes and my admittedly imperfect recollection, I cant find any prior reference to this new sponsorship. If I just missed it, mea culpa; If this is the first notice about a new sponsorship program some additional information about the program would be appreciated. 73, Jay, KØQB
