How truly sad that 96 years after Maxim successfully lobbied for the reincarnation of Amateur Radio, that we are so ashamed of our heritage that we must dissemble before the very Congress that he proudly and aggressively lobbied. I realize the graphic came from the ARRL website carousel, but after seeing it (and after it sank in that a picture of a tower and a stack of yagis might come back to bite us) I asked that it be changed and it was replaced by the Capitol Dome (pre-scaffolding) version that is now up there.
