Starting yesterday I began to receive a few questions about club updates and club information changes. Here’s what occurred. On Friday, Norm Fusaro sent out email notices to ARRL Affiliated Clubs by Section requesting
that they update their information. He sent inquiries to about 25 Sections. This resulted in more than 500 update requests. If you recall, the web site deliberately does not update club information until it is verified by staff and manually entered. This
policy was enacted since disputes and other issues within the clubs themselves resulted in erroneous and contradictory data being posted to the website.
As you are aware, club data is notoriously difficult to obtain and verify since email addresses, officers, trustees and venues change frequently. We are entering many of these changes now, but it may take another
week or so to catch up, particularly since we need to email or call some of the clubs since their data is unclear or contradictory. Some Clubs have also disbanded and we need to confirm that information as well. After we are caught up with this group, Norm
will send out another group of Sections- only a few at a time!
If a particular club that has a problem, please contact Norm or me and we will try to resolve the issue.
