Following
up on Jim Weaver’s note, shortly after the Bandwidth site on the web came
online I sent a Division email outlining the Bandwidth proposal and directing folks
to the web site for a complete explanation. Other than one response warning me
that I was going to get a lot of negative comments and one member who said we
are all tools of Dave Sumner, all the remaining responses (about a dozen) have
been positive. A few folks would like to see a tweak or two but nothing
significant.
Even so I’ll bet the reaction would
have been much different if we had filed the petition first.

Bandwidth petition Web story
Now that just about everyone has their September QST,
we've posted a Web story about the planned bandwidth petition. No doubt this
will set off a flurry of additional comments and questions, which so far have
been relatively light and scattered.
