Yes--it was a sampling. Brian called a group and I did as well. I think I called 8 or so. But we should have indicated it was a sampling.

I think it is time to start accepting new OOC's and OO's with the understanding that the program is in transition. The emphasis should be on OOC's since we have had a significant amount of OOC applications from Section Managers that are now over two years old since the hold was put into place - and the SM's could really use the help.
One other slightly related issue is that at one point the PSWEG or someone had mentioned that the SM community would be contacted for input - I have taken some heat just recently that it appears that the SM's were not contacted. Either that or only a sampling was contacted....can someone let me know which.
On a related topic - there has been some comments about the Board abandoning the NTS with no action..... we need to get the OO/OOC program back online, tackle the NTS issue and move on. If we do get a re-tooling of the FCC Auxillary function that would be perfect, but we need to stop doing nothing.

Further, I think Brain sent the email out to the SM's last year, maybe the OO/OOC's, too. I don't recall for sure. I think it would be good for the field to see Riley's name on the next one. Seems that would be a shot in the arm to the OO/OOC corp to see Riley Hollingsworth's name. But, we have to be careful in managing unrealistic expectations as we still have the same problems with FCC.
Riley, I talked to Barry and he and his team will help you and the OO Study Comm to craft a message.

Riley, I realize that the work of the OO Committee has taken far longer than it should have and that has been a source of frustration to the members of the OO Revitalization Committee (as I have been calling it), including Dan Henderson, me, and I dare say, you too. As can be seen from the Comments from ODV, on your suggestion, there is a great deal of frustration with the inordinate delay in launching the new program, all of it justified. Could we bat this around before you make any decisions, either within the OO Revitalization Committee (which hasn't had a meeting since the Board meeting) or the EC this weekend?
