Hi Barry -

Does this mean no more paper certificates will be sent out?
What has the yearly cost of sending out paper certificates been?

Good Morning:

Today we are announcing the culmination of a project that, quite honestly, brings the ARRL Contest Program in line with other contest programs world-wide.

Through the extraordinary efforts of Bruce Horn, WA7BNM, together with Trey Garlough, N5KO, Ward Silver, N0AX, and the ARRL IT Team, the ARRL?s Contest Program has officially begun making contest award certificates available for download from the ARRL web site in PDF and JPG formats.

The web page to access these certificates is: http://contests.arrl.org/certificates.php - just enter the call sign.

Three events are currently available for downloads:

Certificates for all future events will be issued through this facility. In addition, certificates for past events going back well over a decade, will be made available in the next few weeks. Announcements will be forthcoming on those.

This new online-certificate feature will offer enhanced content over what has been offered previously on ARRL certificates, and makes certificates available to a greater number of participants. New recognitions have been added for top-ten participants in a broader number of geographic (Country, Division, Section) entries.

New event-certificate releases will be announced as they become available.

This new facility will result in savings for the organization and provide more opportunities for individual recognition.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
