Ria: The following is from Kris Bickell. Contrary to public perception, there has been significant progress. Unfortunately, the delay in the implementation of the Personify system has delayed the implementation of the ARRL Learning Center as they are interconnected in several ways, not the least of which is a single sign-on process so members don't have to sign in more than once when they go on our site(s). 73, Barry, N1VXY Lifelong Learning update: 9/11/2020 Go-live timeline: Based on the updated go-live date of early December for Personify, we are expecting to launch the new Learning Center during the week of 1/25/2021. This will give us sufficient time to make sure Personify is fully operational, running efficiently, and allow us to provide support to members through this important software transition. Technical Integration: Work is continuing on integration between the various platforms, including Personify, Path LMS, and the Learning Center (being developed in cooperation with Mintz+Hoke). Much of this work is dependent on other work currently being done in Personify, and is embedded properly into the Personify development plan. Course development: Several courses have been completed and more are currently in development. In addition, the existing online courses are being updated to function optimally in the new Learning Center. Additional courses will be added to the development process as we continue to make progress. ARRL has enlisted the services of Blue Sky eLearn's IMPART Learning Strategy & Development division, to provide instructional design support for course development. Blue Sky is also the provider of the Path LMS (Learning Management System) that ARRL is using for course delivery. The courses are listed below: Completed: Intro to Amateur Radio Communications Intro to Amateur Radio Contesting Intro to Radio for Disasters and Emergencies In Development: Introduction to Space and Satellite Communications Introduction to How Radio Works Understanding Basic Electronics-Components Understanding Basic Radio Understanding Basic Antennas Learning Center: We continue to work with Mintz+Hoke to develop the new Learning Center. Much of the design is complete, and work is currently focused on technical integration. We are also working closely with both Mintz+Hoke and ARRL's Marketing department to develop and implement a marketing plan to promote this initiative. Learning Network: In addition, recordings for all Learning Network webinars are also being uploaded into the new Learning Center, providing additional content options for members. --- Kris Bickell, K1BIC Lifelong Learning Manager ARRL - The national association for Amateur Radio(r) http://www.arrl.org/lifelong-learning
