Larry Price has had a minor stroke and currently is in the hospital here in Geneva.
I visited him for more than an hour this afternoon. He's in good spirits; the only apparent effects are the loss of some strength and fine motor control in his left hand and arm. He's still undergoing tests and expects to be in the hospital at least until Thursday.
I have spoken with his son Steven and his daughter Carol, and they will let his other daughter Jane know the situation.
At this point Larry doesn't know how soon he will be cleared for air travel home. He was planning to stay in Geneva until November 17 (the conference ends on the 16th) but will likely head home earlier if allowed.
IARU Vice President Tim Ellam, VE6SH arrived in Geneva today but is only planning to remain for a few days. My plan was to return home on November 7, but that may be affected by this development.
