To: ARRL ODV From: Harold Kramer Some Miscellaneous Updates: In case you were not aware, a few weeks ago, we placed an Exhibit Kits and Brochure order page on our Website located at: http://www.arrl.org/brochures/ <http://www.arrl.org/brochures/> This Web page can be accessed on the ARRL web page - Services Yellow Tab - Event Materials. These products are now ordered through our store and shipped via the warehouse. This makes these items easier to view and order. It also makes it easier for us since exhibit kits are no longer custom picked, packed and shipped for each order. We can also track their inventory more efficiently. There is no charge for the material, but we do charge for shipping. Because they are shipped using our standard fulfillment process, buyers are now issued a FedEx tracking number. Debra Johnson, Micah Murray, Amy Hurtado and Norm Fusaro were the project team for this effort. Also, due to the efforts of John Proctor, Ann-Marie Pinto and Penny Harts, we have installed a PC based Point of Sales (POS) system at the front desk. This system prints out a receipt for all purchases made from the lobby store rather than using the handwritten receipts and it also allows us to track our inventory more efficiently. Also, Deb Jahnke and I would like to thank the Board Members who have already donated items to this year's auction. We are also having a "flea market" category in this year's auction, so if you have anything interesting for that category, let Deb or me know. We are not looking for" basket cases", but equipment that is in less than perfect condition is certainly acceptable. Vintage gear from Collins, Heathkit, Hallicrafters and Hammarlund seem to be particularly popular. I have also cc'ed the staff who were involved in these initiatives. 73, Harold Harold Kramer, WJ1B Chief Operating Officer ARRL - The national association for Amateur Radio 225 Main Street Newington, CT 06111 Telephone: 860 594 0220 email: hkramer@arrl.org <mailto:hkramer@arrl.org> web: www.arrl.org/ <http://www.arrl.org/>
