Fred,

All good questions, maybe this is better suited for an email or online survey.

For an in person meeting, I think we boil down to the top 4 or 5 important items. So we can spend more time on each, normally the time we can get with these folks are limited.

I can help with Huntsville Hamfest.  I’m sure by now everyone’s travel is booked and time allocated already. Vendors usually travel Thursday evening or Friday morning, and setup Friday. The show is Saturday and Sunday. Vendor meetings will probably be informal on Friday afternoon or evening and Sunday when things are slower.

To answer your question “While the major players may be there, from which ones will MANAGEMENT be present?”  see the red items in the attached.  These are the ones I’m pretty sure about. Some of the over vendors are smaller and probably have management and/or owners attending.

At this year’s Huntsville Hamfest we will have special guest Rick Roderick and Howard Michel. And normally attending special guest David Norris and Ed Hudgens.  I think the five of us could, as time and opportunities permits us talk with some vendors. I’m not speaking for Rick, Howard, David and Ed on this but we all normally talk with vendors anyway.

Normally some vendors will not give anything away or say anything useful.

Thanks,

Greg, W4OZK
