I was at a meeting at Sprint Nextel today and a lot of NAB people were there. They say that most of the problems in the test markets have been hookup issues, not people who were unaware of the transition. But they also think that the Obama transition team request to Congress to postpone the DTV conversion will be granted.

Three TV channels in the Chico-Redding market switched over to digital early.  One station got 1,024 phone messages the first day according to a local news report.  (And since 1024 is what we know as 1K in computer systems, my guess is that this was all their mailbox could hold).  Here is a link to that story:
