Scott Gee worked on fast and slow code practice texts for the two upcoming weeks.  He processed a number of VUCC certificates and endorsements.  Joe Carcia updated the web code practice files and their archives.  He also updated the web page containing the weekly QST sources for code practice.

Field Organization/Public Service Team

This past week an ARRL member and radio amateur from Tennessee completed requirements to become an Official Observer.  William Calderwood, K1CT, was appointed the new OOC for the San Diego section.  The Oregon OOC reports that contact was finally made with the station on WSPR producing spurious emissions.  It was unintentional, and steps are being taken to remedy the situation.  ARRL Headquarters received a report that an expired call sign is being bootlegged.  Chuck Skolaut dealt with questions about proper identification during a special event, antenna zoning, and operating Amateur Radio overseas.  Chuck also conducted one morning code practice run at W1AW and hosted a guest operator.

Steve Ewald completed editorial and proofreading work on the Field Organization Reports and the 2016 Simulated Emergency Test (SET) announcement for September QST.  2016 SET reporting forms and guidelines for are now available from the ARRL Web site in the Public Service and Field Services Forms area.
