As of this morning no one on staff was working on setting up a discussion group for band planning as the Committee and Board had agreed on the procedures which were announced in the story already posted. I agree with the comments made earlier than a change
in the process at this point might be confusing.
Having said that, I'll have someone begin looking into what it would take to set it up. My recommendation for a moderator would be someone from the Band Plan Committee.
And just so I'm clear on this...I don't believe a discussion group is going to meet what I believe was the Board's intention to have the emails sorted and distributed to everyone. Wouldn't everyone have to either sign up for or look into the postings on
the discussion group to see the input from the membership?
Finally, your comment about staff input was just an opinion from Dan Henderson that it sounded like a good idea. I can't say that he was speaking for the staff on that one.
I'm traveling today due to a long standing personal commitment but will be on email periodically to follow up on the issue.
