Jim, Exactly. I thought it was agreed that we would send the opt out message along with the first bulletin sent. I believe that we agreed that we did not want folks to get a cold message and to then opt out before they ever saw what they were getting for free. I agree with you that "we" were going to advise the "not opted in" members of the change in policy on Director/SM E-mail; however, it was equally my understanding (wrong?) that several of us wanted this announcement to be part of the first message we sent out, not ahead of this. I definitely think the members should be told what has happened and why, but I don't think we ought to "invite" them to opt out by sending a cold message to them saying they were added and telling them how to opt out before they see what it is we send out.
