Ria, I don’t recall seeing a specific IARU resolution dealing with 5 Mhz. I will follow up with that to make sure. The U.S. is one of only a few administrations that have channelized 60 meters. Region 1, 2 and 3 all have regional band plans that are NOT channelized. There are sub-bands within the 5 Mhz band but no channels. 73, Rod ____________________________________ Rod Stafford W6ROD www.flickr.com/rodstaffordphotography <http://www.flickr.com/rodstaffordphotography> From: arrl-odv [mailto:arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org] On Behalf Of rjairam@gmail.com Sent: Friday, February 21, 2020 12:14 PM To: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Subject: [arrl-odv:29717] 60 meters What is our current status regarding the 60m allocation? Are we looking to ask the FCC and NTIA for it to be made it non-channelized, or are we fine with status quo?
From what I understand there was an IARU recommendation.
If we do get rid of the channels, for many radios today it’s just a software update to implement. Thanks Ria N2RJ
