After circulating draft documents and conducting several teleconferences, the Band Plan Committee, established at the July Board meeting and responsible for updating the ARRL band plans between 902 MHz and 3.5 GHz, is ready to begin soliciting input from users of those bands. Our solicitation will be distributed several ways, including direct e-mails to known users and user group, a page on the ARRL Web site, and an announcement in the ARRL Letter, tentatively scheduled for Friday, October 28. Once the solicitation is released, members in your Division may ask how they can participate. You can send them a link to the ARRL Web site that Dave Sumner will circulate. A separate e-mail address is being provided to collect user input and to receive any questions about the process. If you would like to personally invite any specific members or organizations in your Division to participate, please let a Committee member know so we don't duplicate the invitation. You may also wish to include a mention of the data-gathering process in your Division-wide e-mails after the launch of the solicitation.. 73, Marty Marty Woll N6VI Vice-Director, ARRL Southwestern Division Ass't DEC, ARESLAX BCUL 15 & Training Officer, LAFD ACS CERT III
