Walt, they discussed a number of different dues structures and settled on dues of $500 per organization regardless of size. Dennis's sense of the group is that the key players consider this seed money, and they will be looking to group members for resources as projects are identified and agreed upon. 73, Mark K1RO

I have been involved in trade groups in the consumer electronics industry. These organizations are an essential part of any healthy industry. I am very pleased that the ham radio industry has decided to form this group. I agree with Dave that the League should be a member of this association. However, we shouldn't expect too much right away. It will take a clear vision, a strong organization, and a lot of work to realize the potential that such an organization provides. I will take money, too. Did they establish a dues schedule?

PS I think they made a very poor choice on the name.
