The original message reported this: "As you may know, there is a problem with the numbering system when doing a search for appointees. The number that shows up as a result of the search request will often indicate more than there really are." We (at HQ) have discovered that the on-line Field Appointment Data Base search function is presently including names/call signs of folks that are Instructors, Volunteer Counselors, Volunteer Examiners, Advisory Committee members, etc. These titles, of course, are *not* ARRL Field Organization appointments under your purview as an ARRL Section Manager. The Web site experts and designers are aware of this situation with the Field Appointment data base and will be working to correct it.
