My first phone QSO was on AM. Crystal controlled on 40 meters. I can still remember to this day how excited I was. I rode my bicycle home from school at lunch to check and see if my general license had arrived in the mail. It did, and I got on 40 meters AM to make my first phone QSO during my lunch period. Am I that old? Geez....
