Thanks to Kay and Joel (and maybe others whose notes
I’ve not gotten to), I’ve learned that the complaint about LoTW I
received from GLD member Bob
Dianetti KT8DX (ex-WB2JGH) was sent to
who all I don’t know. FYI, in
the event you received the same message, I replied to Bob. In doing so, I copied Wayne
and asked him to have someone get in touch with Bob
and help him resolve the problem. I
also told Bob
I have been using Logbook and “love” it.
I have to admit that I had difficulties in getting
LoTW operational and had to have Wayne
lead me a bit. This didn’t
surprise me because I’m essentially computer-illiterate. I assumed that to folks knowledgeable in
computerese would be able to breeze through the instructions with not
difficulty.
My issue with the instructions is that they are
written in my opinion for folks with reasonably advanced skills. It might be nice to have step-by-step
introductions written with the neophyte in mind. But, this is said as a neophyte and
there may be few of us out there.
