FCC proposed to delete historical license data (addresses basically) from its database, due to privacy concerns. It also asked for comment on the concept of eliminating current license data from the database as well. Fortunately, there is an FCC decision that is very close to being on point on the issue of privacy of licensee data as you will see from the discussion in the comments. We will report back on the thrust of other comments filed in the docket. There are only six comments filed at the moment (ARRL comments have not yet been logged) so this is not a momentous proceeding, but the due date is today.
