Hi All, I imagine you’ve all been following the chatter concerning thebylaw 46 motion, now expanded to critique of the CEO’s salary, threats andpromises to withhold donations, and similar overblown rhetoric. No one has yet called for a pox on all ourhouse or for a plague of locusts to descend on Newington, but I’m sure that’son the way. While I definitely do NOT supportthe bylaw 46 motion, for reasons alluded to in the Report of the 1stVP, I’m saddened, but not surprised, by the vitriol the motion has unleashed,vitriol being directed, quite unjustly, at the entire Board. I think it’s important that the membershipunderstand that the Board is not, and indeed should not be, monolithic. So, I’ve tentatively decided to release my “Report of the1st VP” out into the wild. Myguess is that this would have minimal impact, but I thought I should let youknow ahead of time, both to solicit your comments, and should you see any chatter online. See you all in a few weeks.
