K1WJD (CW #3) (then a recent MIT grad) and W1NJL/1 (Phone #18, then a Colby College freshman, operating from his ground level college dorm room using an NCX-3 with a random length wire at 12’ in height) now serve on the ARRL Board of Directors.

K7GM, now ARRL Treasurer, once lived in the basement of the K7NHV (see CW scores) house.

On CW and Phone, W3TMZ was operated by then recent college grad Fred Laun, K3ZO, now manager of the W3 QSL Bureau.

I think WA9AUM (CW #18), Jim Cain, once worked at ARRL HQ.
