· Firm in receipt of over 400 letters generated by District Directors addressed to 81 House members and 5 senators.
· Coordinated letter receipts with congressional distribution in meetings. Most letters received from non-targetted districts have been forwarded to their respective offices with ARRL packets and our personal letter.
· Meetings with staff on ARRL’s multiple issues during the past two weeks:
o Rep. Mike Ferguson (R 7th NJ)
o Rep. Ted Strickland (D 6th OH)
o Rep. Sherrod Brown (D 13th OH) - Just yesterday we were informed by Rep. Brown’s office that they are very interested in supporting ARRL members throughout Ohio, as the Congressman is making a Senate bid this fall.
o Rep. George Radanovich (R 19th CA)
o Rep. John Shadegg (R 3rd AZ)
o Rep. Lee Terry (R 2nd NE)
· Senate visits went well with Sen. DeWine and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison’s offices, both expressing interest in possible Senate legislation.
· Our visitations are concentrating on the ‘88’ Senate and House targets (preferably with district letters) during the initial 90 day period.
