Leona Adams reports that Jack Mitchell, N7MJ, of Cheyenne, has been nominated to run for the position of Wyoming Section Manager.  Arkansas Section Manager Dale Temple, W5RXU, has been nominated to run for another two- year term as Section Manager.  Nominations for Section Manager candidates for this upcoming election cycle are due at ARRL Headquarters by December 5.  Leona also continues to assist the DXCC staff by handling some administrative duties associated with the DXCC program when her schedule allows on weekday afternoons.
 
Chuck Skolaut attended the Iowa Section Convention in West Liberty on October 5.  He met with ARRL Section Leaders among many others and represented ARRL Headquarters at the event.
 
The annual SKYWARN Recognition Day will be held all day (UTC time) on Saturday, December 6.  The National Weather Service and the ARRL co-sponsor this on-the-air operating event to help recognize the vital public service contributions that Amateur Radio operators make during National Weather Service severe weather warning operations.  Several Amateur Radio stations at National Weather Service offices are expected to be on the air that day.  More information is in November QST, page 85, and at www.wrh.noaa.gov/mtr/hamradio.
