I received a phone call from a local ham club that was contacted by a local TV station reporter here in Portland. (The station is the local ABC affiliate, KATU, Channel 2).)

 

The reporter was looking for comments related to "amateur  radios" being used in the recent Capitol riots, and the ham club president wisely passed it along to me. After some checking around I found out that t he acting ARRL PIO on this incident is Bob Inderbitzen, NQ1R.   I know that Bob dealt with CNN last week, I didn't know he was "the guy" to use for future PIO inquiries related to the riots.

 

I'm passing this along to ODV in case anybody else gets asked for comments from media. 

 

BTW, Bob was very responsive and is already on top of it.
