The attached newspaper article came to me from a local club officer whose Chilean-born wife found and translated it. The article recounts and applauds the efforts and resourcefulness of Amateur Radio operators during the last major Chilean earthquake. It also points out the frailty of the "latest and greatest" public communication network.
