Before we get too worked up about this, it's my understanding that the parents are both hams and put up the tower either without a permit or outside the terms of the permit before their son became involved in Amateur Radio. The mother saw my announcement about the Amateur Radio Antenna Defense Foundation and wrote be asking for help. I replied wth a series of questions and suggestions, including having them contact their SM and providing a link to the volunter counsel list for that area. I never heard back from her. 73, Marty N6VI ----- Original Message ----- From: Bob Vallio To: arrl-odv Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2010 9:20 PM Subject: [arrl-odv:18988] Re: Village vs 10 year old ham I think we should send Chris there, with his bagpipes! :>) Seriously, this does merit our immediate attention. Not sure about the outcome of that meeting but, if this is still an open issue, this would be a heck of a good cause for ARRL to get involved in, even if no funds are involved in to some extent. 73, Brian N5ZGT ARRL Director, Rocky Mountain Division On the web at www.RockyMountainDivision.org
