Jim, The BPL database lists Duke Energy in several Zip codes in the Charlotte area. These have been small trials to evaluate different vendors. According to Ambient, they have a contract to supply hardware to Duke Energy but the news releases about it have talked about Smart Grid network management, not consumer broadband. Am I correct that Duke does have consumer-oriented BPL elsewhere in the corporation? Jim Jim Weaver, K8JE, Director ARRL Great Lakes Division 5065 Bethany Rd.
