Seeing the news of additional earthquakes (after shocks?) and the hurricane is sobering. We don't think of earthquakes hitting the East Coast or of so much rain from a hurricane so far north. In spite of the fact we Midwesterners sometimes suggest the East Coast should be sawed off and floated out to sea, I wish everyone continues to be safe and avoids any meaningful damage. We occasionally get a tremor from a secondary fault off the New Madrid fault line, but so far these have gone unnoticed by most people here.
