Subject: [arrl-odv:27414] Extraordinary VE Achievement
_______________________________________________I thought I would end the week on a high note with word of an extraordinary achievement by one of the ARRL’s Volunteer Examiners.Rev. Franz Laugermann, K3FL, of Houston, TX has participated in the administration of 1,000 ARRL VE test sessions. Maria Somma, AB1FM, ARRL VEC Manager, reports that this is the first time in the history of the program that someone has achieved this milestone. To honor K3FL, we plan to put an announcement on the ARRL web site and in the next (October) issue of QST. We will be in contact with Director Woolweaver on the creation and presentation of a plaque commemorating this wonderful achievement. At this point, Rev. Laugermann is unaware of his achievement and we ask that you please not publicize it until we can inform him and make the announcement.73,Barry J.
