I suppose at least some of you are familiar with the "sea water antenna."  I just learned of it thanks to a fellow amateur who is a retired consulting radiotechololgy engineer.

I would not have thought there would be sufficient conductive ions at sea water salinity to be useful for an antenna.  Guess I'm wrong!  How about verticals or even simple directive arrays made of fairly narrow clear plastic tubing?  Done properly, one could put these up and take them down in only several minutes?  One way to beat CC&Rs?
