I like this but I agree with the sentiment of of others.  When someone becomes Diamond or Maxim, etc., they should be asked if they want to be recognized for that contribution when their name is listed in QST.  I wouldn't say "when your key goes silent."

May I also suggest that you add one more symbol to indicate a past ARRL Director or Officer -- although that may become cluttered.

Director Ritz made the suggestion that we don’t go far enough to recognize the contributions that our Silent Keys made if they were Maxim Society and/or Diamond Club members.

 

As this is our final goodbye to these members, we were really excited about the idea.

 

Attached is the mockup of what we will be rolling out going forward.  Note: this is just test data, not an actual page with real data.

 

The Silent Keys will be recognized with their Maxim Society and Diamond Club designations along side their callsign and name.
