What is going on with ICOM?  Why did they reduce their advertising?

I just received this over one of the yahoogroup lists I manage:

[I just read on the Desert Rats website, looking through the info for their upcoming hamfest, that Icom has canceled ALL 2011 hamfest and trade show appearances.  I wonder if that includes the Hamvention?

This seems a bit drastic. Anyone know what is happening with them?]
