Are we still a go for the Wednesday night meeting for this, or are we looking further into a webinar? I would like to start looking at flights as I have limited departure flights from here and trying to avoid ORD like the plague makes travel interesting. Thanks. I would encourage considering live webinar training as we only have eight in the class.
I have written and/or approved corporate employment policy handbooks for some of my corporate clients over the years and have advised, along with selected special counsel, on harassment claims. Demonstration of that may be compliant for the carrier. If not, will CBIA consider getting approval for Legal continuing education credits or do they have accreditation since the instructor is a lawyer? They may already be accredited themselves to provide CLE credits for lawyers. That would be useful to me even if they charge an extra fee for the CLE paperwork which I would pay.

Mark,
I expected that most of you will need to come in a day early if your schedules allow. I will have to work on an alternative for those who cannot attend but for now I am trying to get as many the training as I can on Wednesday.
There are several on line training sessions but I have yet to find one that is as appropriate as the one designed for a board of directors that CBIA provides.

That makes it tough as the connecting flights put me in to BDL at 6:47. Unless we come a entire day early.
Any way this can be a webinar this time around?

John,
The training is scheduled for Wednesday. Since not all board members need the training, we did not want to interfere with the time that is usually used as an informal session for the entire board.
Thanks.

Did you mean to say "Thursday" rather than "Wednesday?

Dear ODV,
A few weeks ago the Officers and Director’s Insurance Policy and the Omission and Errors Liability Policy were renewed. In order to retain coverage on sexual harassment claims on the renewal, ARRL is now required to provide all directors and vice directors with harassment training. As our society’s culture is changing, such training is not just a good idea but important for us as an organization to support.
In order to comply with this new requirement, we are going to integrate the training into Director/Vice Director orientations that take place on the Wednesday before each January’s Board Meeting. The training will be held after dinner on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the hotel. The training will be held by Human Resource Counsel from CBIA (Connecticut Business and Industry Association).
Most of you received this training already in July 2018 and *do not* need to attend. However, I am requesting that our newer members of the board family (see below) who have not received this training from ARRL plan on attending Wednesday night’s training. If you would, please confirm your attendance with Dee Methe no later than December 20, 2019 in order for us to have appropriate space configuration and materials ready.
Thank you/73,
