Dear Colleagues,
Today's ARRL Letter will include the posting of the ARRL
CEO Position. It is anticipated that the Officers, Directors and
Vice Directors will be actively participating in the process of soliciting
applications from the Amateur Radio community. Please
remember that we are dealing with a significantly sensitive
HR issue and that any submital of an application does engender
the requirement for privacy in the handling of any information
provided by the applicants.
At a bare minimum all Board members should advise
potential candidates to submit their applications using the
methods and manner mentioned in the job posting and that
all submission of applications must be done directly to the
HR Professionals at Headquarters. Should any procedural
questions arise in this process please advise anyone that
contacts you with questions to contact Ms. Diane Middleton,
W2DLM, at our Newington, Connecticut office.
It is anticipated that all Board members will make
an effort to encourage qualified candidates to make an
application. As your part in this process the CEO Search
Committee is requesting that we be able to track contacts
made by Board members with potential candidates. When
a contact is made with a potential candidate it is requested
that you let the Search Committee know the identity of that
potential candidate so that the Committee can track that
candidate in the application process. It is requested that
all Board members send a short email to W9XA@arrl.org
with the name and call of anyone you personally solicit or
encourage to submit an application. The purpose of the
tracking is to ensure that all applications are received and
considered properly, and that none are overlooked or lost
in the submital process. In that email please use the subject
line "CEO Search Candidate", a callsign and name is all
that we need to track the submission. All applications and
other supporting information needs to be submitted directly
to HQ.
Please refer any potential candidate to the ARRL website
Thank you in advance for your efforts in aiding this
process.
73, Kermit Carlson W9XA
