Many have recounted their favorite memories of Steve Mansfield, and I would like to mention mine.
In the old days (as I like to say), we use to get an envelope by mail from HQ every week with news of what was going on up there. One of the items I always liked to read was Steve's reports of his visits to Washington. Every week Steve would make the trek to Capitol Hill, armed with a long list of appointments. Sometimes he got stood up; sometimes he actually got to see a Congressman. But mostly he got to see staffers, high and low, and give them his "Spectrum 101" course. He always put these visits in a positive light, no matter how badly he was treated. He had infinite patience, and always looked forward to the next meeting. Many of you will remember these reports, I'm sure.

It would be nice if these were all compiled into a festschriften for the family. Some are on the PR reflector as well. 73, Gary KI4LA
