One of the topics we spent time on at A&F this weekend was dues. I wanted to get out ahead of the minutes to highlight a few things: * Nothing has been decided or set into stone * There are many aspects related to dues (including life membership and diamond club) that need to be evaluated * We discussed how a monthly payment plan for dues (and dues only) might be possible * The Revenue Sub-committee of A&F will be working on the alchemy of what a framework looks like * Diane has built an excellent modelling tool for us to use to change various factors and forecasts to see how adjusting levers affects net revenue over the next 10 years * We will be meeting ASAP to begin the deep dive on fine tuning the model, taking into account certain member needs (age/fixed income/digital only) * The member survey results will be tabulated the first week of June to be taken into consideration and integrated into where the model has evolved to * Note: I will release the tabulated results to the entire board for your information * A&F will need to meet prior to the July meeting to debate and further tune and agree to a final framework * A&F Chair will hold a pre-July board Zoom call to discuss the dues increase model * A&F will produce a final motion at their July meeting * The board will need to ratify the A&F motion at the July board meeting for a 1/1/24 implementation As part of the ongoing communication with members on the subject, I attach my June column for your preview.
