I ran across a UCLA report on Internet usage that was recently released. This report covers the third year of their study: http://ccp.ucla.edu/pdf/UCLA-Internet-Report-Year-Three.pdf (previous year reports are at: http://ccp.ucla.edu/pages/internet-report.asp ) A quick glance showed some interesting things. 71% of all people used the Internet in the last year. (Remember, our surveys say that close to 90% of all hams do) Only about 34% of those over age 65 use the Internet (just under half of our members are over 65) Anyhow, interesting reading, and it may help us to understand what we might want to do to embrace the Internet more, or to pull more people into ham radio who have shown an interest in technology. -- Tom ===== e-mail: k1ki@arrl.org ARRL New England Division Director http://www.arrl.org/ Tom Frenaye, K1KI, P O Box J, West Suffield CT 06093 Phone: 860-668-5444
