"Golly, I even remember our esteemed General Counsel fighting over the lights on a teeny bopper photo shoot during the Lively Arts Society meeting at another board meeting."
I think the above statement is actionable, Bill. But I will miss you in January anyway and probably will not sue you.
Now I have to explain that story to those newer than you on the Board. The punch line until I get the chance to do that is that it was very helpful to have a Hudson Division Vice Director fully capable of flattening the offended hand model photographer from the next meeting room over to come to my assistance. Otherwise there could have been some damage to my glasses or my large nose, or even worse.
Fair Forward, Bill.

I wanted to personally let each of you know that I have enjoyed working with you on the ARRL Board.
My first board meeting was July 2000 in Hartford. (The hotel had oodles of issues such as locks not working properly, some rooms not being completely furnished and even having an Eminem concert next door to the hotel one evening)
My second meeting was just as memorable with my esteemed colleague, Bob Vallio, sitting down on a lit cigarette.
Golly, I even remember our esteemed General Counsel fighting over the lights on a teeny bopper photo shoot during the Lively Arts Society meeting at another board meeting.
Each meeting and association has been memorable as the “goose” we got from Rick Roderick about the need for giving.
It has been interesting watching what had been considered a bastion of real OM’s voting in our first YL as President, welcoming a younger vice director who (word has it) got his first bottle of Geritol shortly after becoming his division director and then welcoming a much younger vice director also a YL.
We’ve tackled some pretty heavy issues, and we’ve still survived.
I want to wish each of you the very best and have a healthy and happy New Year!
