Folks,

I'm getting a few more comments along the lines of Mike Ritz' comments below.  AA6YQ pointed out to me that the Communications committee last fall set up some groups, one being concerned with regulatory action - which could serve as a model, that would accomplish what folks seem to want, and would, in his opinion (since he has participated in doing this) be done in very little time, though I realize that time estimates like this are pretty subjective.  We could leave the group up indefinitely if we wish - folks seem to want to vent about band plans.  The hardest part might finding a moderator.  Dave volunteered - whether he is the best person to do this, given his strong opinions on the matter, is another question.

Barry, Diane - Is someone looking into this or something like it as a short term (next few days) possibility?  I thought I saw something from someone on staff Thursday (or maybe yesterday) on the subject.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Mike

If I may interject…

A group of its own, moderated by someone involved in the process seems to be the most appropriate place – Band Planning group with members of the committee as moderators?

I’m in for a groups.io as well.

What is the reason for 2 weeks versus a longer comment period?

Members are complaining to me that they cannot view any of the comments that are coming in regarding the new digital band plan. It appears to them that comments are going into a non-transparent black hole. I can't even see them, which doesn't help any.

Question 1: How do we on the Board, and especially us members of the Band Planning committee see the comments that are coming in via the website?

Question 2: Is it possible to set up a "Groups IO- Band Planning" social media platform also? As a member of the committee I will  volunteer to moderate it, (with the committee chairman's permission of course), and I'm sure others will volunteer also.

Thanks!
