I received several emails from members and SMs who didn’t understand why this message seemed to come out of the blue. Nobody here has been irate so far. After I gave them context, as you did Mike, everyone was understanding.

Any requests for comment from ARRL should lead to the simple statement to go to arrl.org to read our position.
If there is additional pressure applied for comments, direct all requests to ARRL HQ.
Bob is working with IT on creating a simple email address to direct information requests to.
As it looks like this week could provide some unwanted exposure to our hobby, every comment must be very careful considered before being made.
We will keep the Board informed as this situation unfolds.
