I don't think it is necessary to require a ham radio license for someone to apply to be our next CEO. We'll do our own sizing up of whoever applies, and their ham radio experience will be an important component. After all, don't most of us believe the current Tech license is so easy that anyone can get one with 15 minutes of studying? :-) Anyone smart enough to be our CEO is smart enough to pass the test. The real question is do they know CW... :-) We could make it a requirement that whoever we hire has to get a license. -- Tom PS: I think the RSGB hired a non-ham General Manager +/- 15 years ago. I don't think the result was all that satisfactory though. ===== e-mail: k1ki@arrl.org ARRL New England Division Director http://www.arrl.org/ Tom Frenaye, K1KI, P O Box J, West Suffield CT 06093 Phone: 860-668-5444
