My understanding that people have to request to have someone put on the list and there is a process for. At least I had to do so when my dad passed a year ago and I had opportunity to provide the form and information to someone who just learned of the SK listing for their spouse that past last fall. She saw it in a recent QST and thought that would be a good tribute to him. Hopefully her sending the SK listing will also cancel his life membership so she doesn't continue to get QST. Director Ritz made the suggestion that we don’t go far enough to recognize the contributions that our Silent Keys made if they were Maxim Society and/or Diamond Club members.
As this is our final goodbye to these members, we were really excited about the idea.
Attached is the mockup of what we will be rolling out going forward. Note: this is just test data, not an actual page with real data.
The Silent Keys will be recognized with their Maxim Society and Diamond Club designations along side their callsign and name.
We appreciate your ideas!
