Dick,
Although
somewhat belated, please accept my congratulations on a FB job in “lining up” W6RW
to assist in our efforts with Section 502 of HR 5252. Good grassroots action.

Update
Following up on Joel's message earlier today, I'm pleased to report the news -- received via Mike Mitchell, W6RW of the Southwestern Division directly from Rules Committee staff -- that no amendments to strip or otherwise modify the language of Section 502 were offered to the Rules Committee. So, assuming that the bill is adopted by the House on Friday or whenever they get to it, it should go on to the Senate with Section 502 intact.
If you're
curious you can review the summaries of the amendments that WERE offered at http://www.rules.house.gov/109_2nd/amendmentsum1092nd/109_2ndamnd_hr5252.htm.
Congratulations
to Dick Norton for lining up Mike, who proved to be well "wired" to
Rules Committee Chairman Dreier.
