Chuck Skolaut compiled and forwarded the monthly Official Observer Summary to all OOs, OOCs, and Section Managers. One radio amateur from Oregon completed requirements to become an Official
Observer this past week. Interference to a nightly 40 meter net was reported, and the Kentucky OOC alerted his OOs to monitor. Questions about RACES and announcements on repeaters were referred to regulation. Several reports of fishermen using 2 meters shown
on a TV show is being checked out. Supplies were also sent to several OOs who have requested them. The January activity reports from Field Organization Leaders from across the country were received, compiled and produced for May QST.

by Friday, March 4. Ann Foster, K0ANN, of St. Anthony, has been nominated to run for the Minnesota Section Manager’s position, and the nominating petitions for this particular election cycle are due at Headquarters by June 3.
